Video Surveillance

We like to inform, that due to a bike theft in 2022, video surveillance for the athletes' area and the transition zone is organized for 2024. The visitors and participants of the competitions agree to the recordings. The video recordings are only viewed, in case of a criminal act or handed over to the police. After the event they will be deleted immediately.

Purposes and legal basis of data processing:

According to Art. 2 § 12 para. 2 no. 4 DSG, "image recording" with cameras is particularly permitted if there are overriding legitimate interests of the responsible, or a third party in the individual case and proportionality is given.

The recordings are only evaluated if it is necessary as evidence in a legal case, otherwise they are deleted after 72 hours at the latest. No sound recordings are made.

We consider video surveillance necessary for the following reasons:

• Bike theft at the Triathlon Kitzbühel 2022
• Protection of the property of the athletes and third parties

Storage period:

Maximum 72h, no later than 17.06.2024.
